A study by Morgan Stanley estimates that VC’s missing out a trillion dollars by not investing in diverse founders. Female entrepreneurs across all industries continue to face challenges obtaining funding, training and support in the VC landscape with only $38.9 billion invested, or 14% of venture deals globally in companies with a female founder.
Advancing Women in Product (AWIP) empowers high potential female product and tech leaders through professional education and executive mentorship. In partnership with leading venture capital firm Emergence Capital, AWIP is excited to host its first Female Founder's Office Hours with Carlotta Siniscalco, Principal at Emergence Capital.
Female founders attending will get their questions on fundraising and hiring answered.
Carlotta is a Principal at Emergence Capital. Prior to joining Emergence, Carlotta served as a Principal at Ribbit Capital, a global fund focused on investing in financial technology companies. Carlotta has also spent time at NerdWallet, Advent International, and Goldman Sachs. Carlotta received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and previously studied economics and finance at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she served on the Wharton Council.
