Marley is currently leading product management for mobile at Dropbox. Her passion is building healthy, high-performing teams that work effectively together, something she has been able to do in partnership with her Engineering partner, Ping. In her first two years at Dropbox, she brought new products to market, including Dropbox Transfer, and led a re-architecture of Dropbox's commenting platform. Prior to Dropbox, Marley was a Product Manager at Hired, a marketplace matching tech talent to hiring companies, for 3.5 years. Marley began her career in an analyst leadership development program at JP Morgan Chase.
Ping started his career at Bloomberg as a Software Engineer. After a few years of building financial products - the Bloomberg Terminal, Ping decided to devote himself to a brand new product (Bloomberg Government) that delivers news, legislation, regulations, and government contracting to professionals working in the Government sector. He spent a few years living in Washington DC, where he developed a strong interest in Engineering management and how to build a strong partnership with the product team.
Ping joined Dropbox's NYC office in 2018 and led a team of engineers to build out Dropbox Transfer. Ping and Marley Spector worked together on this product and built a strong partnership over time by supporting and challenging each other. That journey has continued while they continue to focus on delivering value to millions of Dropbox users today.
