ABOUT THIS EVENT
Natural Language Processing is key to enabling machines to process and understand human’s natural language, verbal & written. Text or speech data produced by humans is highly unstructured and doesn’t fit neatly in a traditional row and column structure of a relational database. NLP gives machines the ability to read, decipher, understand and derive meaning of the data produced by human language.This webinar will focus on the application of deep linguistics processing in conjunction with advance machine and deep learning techniques to support a range of tasks, such as information structuring, data summarization, document classification, topic extraction,and image captioning. We will demo some cutting-edge NLP tools drawing practical examples from finance, legal, eCommerce, healthcare, and defense industries.
Dr Das has a wealth of experience as principal/chief data scientist, lab manager, and technology consultant at organizations such as Cimpress / Vistaprint, Alphaserve Technologies, MIT Lincoln Labs, Charles River Analytics, and Xerox European Research Center.He has a PhD in AI and Databases from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and a postdoc in AI from Imperial College, London. He has published several books in the areas of AI, machine learning, and analytics. The most recent one is “Computational Business Analytics,” published by CRC Press/Chapman & Hall. His co-authored book “Safe and Sound: AI in Hazardous Applications” was published by AAAI/MIT Press in 2000 and forwarded by late Nobel Laureate Herb Simon. Dr Das has also been a part-time faculty at North-eastern University, teaching analytics, machine and deep learning, and natural language processing techniques for graduate students. He has worked in multiple critical verticals such as finance, legal, healthcare, defence, and e-commerce. He currently serves as the consulting chief data scientist at AdventHealth.
